The dental kiosk was a system designed for the waiting rooms of dental offices. Its purpose was to give patients easy access to the most frequently asked questions that occur in a dentists office. It also allowed patients to understand how to eat healthy as well as to choose a dentist in the office, by looking at videos of each dentist answering a set group of questions. The kiosk also includes a pain rating scale allowing patients to see how much a particular procedure may hurt relative to another procedure. The system was created to entertain, inform and educate the patient. The kiosk was also to reduce workload on office staff and doctors by answering most common questions and possibly calming the nerves of each patient. |
